Cool Shots

The music: quirky, the videography: clean and the shots I likey. The humorous part of this video is him getting decked out in work out gear only to be riding a bike as fast as Debo in Friday. I know a lot of people who do that at the gym regularly and wonder why they haven't lost any weight for their New Years resolution. But thats another story...Cory has cool shots.

Imaginary Friends

When you were a kid and didn't have anyone to play with or talk to you could turn to your imaginary friend, Fred. He would listen, not judge you, play with you relentlessly and was your absolute best friend.

But how about when you get older? If you don't have anyone to talk to who do you confide in? Not your imaginary friend, Fred. It's okay to talk to thin air as a kid but as an adult? (Not uh bucko better not do it.)

How many people get frightened when they see that homeless man talking to himself? (I'm probably one of them).  Humans are social beings and if we can't have a conversation with another human being when tend to find someone to talk to inside of ourselves. Maybe, Fred will come back to visit you when you least expect it.

After watching the short film Checkmate, I feel for the guy. Society is quickly to judge people who have imaginary friends as adults. Maybe, that person feels alone? No, couldn't be...you're just sick in the mind with a mental disorder.

Isn't the culture we live awesome?

Dog Lover

I like dogs and dogs like me and we're one big happy family...literally. I have 3 dogs at home Zeus, Bailey and Ferguson. I love them all and one of them is slowly dying and I'm pretty sad because I had him since I was 13. (I had him for  12 years!!!).

So, I came across this short about Oden, a dog. His owner has to put him to sleep because he's suffering from some type of cancer. It totally broke my heart. (Like whimpering crying...I'm a sucker).

Last Minutes with ODEN

If I get old I'll probably be the lady with a house full of dogs. They're more loyal than humans anyways.

I Have A Dream

Usually, I don't vent on Pump It Up Media but since it's Martin Luther King Day and he's all about giving freedom to minorities of civil injustices and prejudices I feel like I should make a speech of my own in honor of MLK.

I have a dream that one day I will make a production that is so riveting people will see why I'm passionate about cinematography and storytelling. One day people will take pride in the art of storytelling and cinematography and the assumptions that I will do things for them for free just because will cease because you understand the vision.

Don't get me wrong--- you do have to prove to people your worth but how many free projects is enough? I remember sitting in Osman's class and telling everyone that I want to one day own my production company.  Uhh, am I crazy for that statement? Hmm...hell yeah. But who cares?!!?! I rather go living knowing that I tried (if I fail---I'm pretty sure I'm not) than not try at all. CLICHE! But it works for me.

Pay me in gum and I'll be fine

I don't know how many times I've heard "Nothing in life is free" and never knew the meaning (until trying to get my business up and running) but let's be serious here--if you go to Jiffy Lube and get your oil changed do you think you're going to get it for free? NO.  How about going to Kings Dominion or your favorite clothing store? Better yet lets not try anything to impress your girlfriend/boyfriend to make him/her happy and you still expect get some ass?  Not happenin' partna! You gotsta pay for the services, merchandise, goods...LET ME SEE THE MONEY BABY and you will get your desired item. (Not saying that you gotta be a prostitute about it but you got to work for what you want.)

Same goes for videos. You want me to work on a project, use my amazing creative thinking and equipment  sit at my computer and edit beautifully shot scenes that can take up to 8 hours to 5 days to complete, throw some filters on, use graphic art, photoshop, download some quirky text and export all for free? Ok, I' m down!

I have a dream and my dream is to own a production company and how am I suppose to buy and upgrade my  equipment I need, new programs, pay actors, staff? I have a dream that one day people will take my dreams seriously as I take theirs when agreeing to do a project.  When I find that people don't take pride or trust in me by wanting a "freebie" I get insulted.

Am I wrong for feeling this way? But then again sex ain't free either. Then, I don't feel bad at least sucking a little wiener will get you pppppaaaaaiiiiiiddddd.

Maybe I'm in the wrong profession??  ;-)

The Little Mermaid

Every little girl at one point in their lives wanted to be just like Ariel from "The Little Mermaid".  Well, how about being a mermaid in real life? This just made me giggle.

Cola Chicken

Everybody has a dream of what their passions are in life but very few achieve our dreams because the work in between is too hard. This documentary is about Chen Chen a man that came from the mainland of China to Barcelona, Spain in hopes to open his own Chinese restaurant. After watching this documentary of Chen Chen, I really hope he opens up his own restaurant because he is such a big inspiration.

My Chick Bad Glee Audition

I know this is video from Candy Slice Comedy is about a year old but I can't help but laugh at these girls. There's nothing funnier than poking fun at Glee and hearing a few white girls rap a Ludacris song.
